Atlas Copco inaugurates South Korean vacuum pump factory
Atlas Copco’s Edwards division is opening the doors to a new manufacturing facility in Asan City, South Korea to produce vacuum pumps for semiconductors. Semiconductors have great use in crucial development sectors such as technological, electronic, automotive, scientific and medical.
A recent surge in demand has seen widespread investment in global semiconductor production capabilities. The new Korean facility will help raise the overall supply chain capacity for semiconductors.The 16,000 m2 facility takes advantage of data technology and new manufacturing equipment. The factory will provide job opportunities for around 150 people.
