The Glasgow facility specializes in the application of coatings for jet engines, while the Alfreton site focuses on turnkey component repairs for industrial gas turbines utilised in power generation and oil and gas applications.
The company will continue to be run by current managing director Colin Twells, who has been with the business for several years.
The buyer, Curtiss-Wright Corporation, is a $2.5bn engineered products and services business listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
