The duplex and in-line pressure filters suit industries requiring minimized downtime, uninterrupted operation, and tight operational schedules.

Eaton’s Filtration Division recently unveiled three new products for power generation, manufacturing, marine operation, and additional industries: the DUA duplex filter, LWF in-line pressure filter, and DNR duplex pressure filter. The filters are designed for durability, efficiency, and reliability.

“By combining advanced design with different housing material options, these filters address the increasingly complex challenges of modern hydraulic and lubrication oil systems, ensuring optimal performance and peace-of-mind for their operators," said Simone Ortner, Hydraulic Filtration Engineering and Product Manager at Eaton’s Filtration Division.

DNR Filter

The DNR is a duplex pressure filter with a three-way changeover valve, carbon-steel housing, and suitable for operating pressures up to 232 psi (16 bar). The changeover valve enables uninterrupted element changes and filtration, and the housing may contain Eaton’s 01.NR360 and 01.NR1000 filter elements, allowing setup flexibility and reliable performance under numerous conditions. The filter is also well-suited for gearbox and turbine lubrication.

“As pressures mount to safeguard critical processes and minimize downtime, having a dependable filtration solution that can operate uninterrupted is essential,” said Ortner. “Our new filters are tailored to meet the practical needs of industries facing challenging conditions and tight operational schedules.”

DUA Filter

The DUA is a duplex filter intended for continuous, high-demand applications across power plants, manufacturing facilities, and marine systems, capable of operating pressures up to 320 psi (22 bar) and flow rates of 1,056 gpm (4,000/min). Filtration flow can be diverted to either side, ensuring smooth operation with a clogging indicator attached to the switchgear housing without piping. These filters fulfill ASME, PED and EN 13445 requirements without additional accessories and are available in sizes 2005, 3005, and 4005.

LWF Filter

The LWF is an in-line pressure filter to be installed on suction, pressure, or return lines, handling operating pressures up to 232 psi (16 bar), flow rates between 396-1,585 gpm, and available in a stainless steel, ASME design. It is equipped with a pleated 01.E1501 filter element that enhances dirt-holding capacity and features various filter media types and filter finesse grades.

In late September 2024, Eaton’s Filtration Division launched the VS6 electronic differential pressure sensor—a clogging indicator that continuously measures differential pressure within hydraulic and lubrication oil filters, allowing users to evaluate the status of filter components. The sensor features a dust- and splash-proof stainless-steel housing and can operate at pressures up to 6,000 psi or 420 bar. Identifying increased contamination in hydraulic and lubrication oil is critical to preventing machinery failure.

The VS6 pressure sensor provides a visual aide, enabling operators to make decisions about replacing filter elements as part of their preventative maintenance strategy. Knowing when to replace components also allows users to make cost-efficient decisions, preventing replacement before end-of-life. In addition to continuous differential pressure monitoring, the VS6 features a cold-start suppression function up to approximately 37°F (25°C) to suppress pressure peaks during cold starts. The electronic clogging indicator is compatible with most Eaton hydraulic filtration systems with a protection class of IP67.
