Elliott Company (Elliott) announced today that it has taken title and possession of the former Jeannette Glass property under terms of a Purchase and Sale Agreement dated March 13, 2018 between Elliott and the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation (WCIDC). The WCIDC acts as the primary marketing agent for Westmoreland County to support economic development efforts within the county.
Over the last year, Elliott worked with a premier construction engineering firm to design the cryogenic pump testing facility, which will include state-of-the-art control and safety systems. Elliott also worked diligently with regulatory authorities to secure an air permit for this testing facility.
“Cryogenic pumps are a recent addition to Elliott’s product line,” said Michael Lordi, CEO of Elliott Group. “The ability to test these units prior to shipping is a key element of the manufacturing process, and is essential to Elliott’s expansion plans.”
Now that engineering work for the new facility is complete, the construction contractor will begin site mobilization in early November. Official groundbreaking will be December 3, 2019. Construction is expected to take about 18 months. Approximately 130 new jobs will be created when the new facility is fully operational.
