Elliott Group is pleased to announce that Klaus Brun has joined the company as Director of Research and Development (R&D). Brun will lead Elliott’s advanced development teams for all rotating equipment product lines and related systems, including materials engineering, reporting directly to Elliott Group’s Deputy CEO, Toshihiko Miyashita.
Brun comes to Elliott from the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) where he was the Director of SwRI’s Machinery Program, one of the leading turbomachinery technology R&D programs in the world. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience, including an extensive background in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and rotordynamic design and testing. Prior to joining SwRI in 2003, Dr. Brun was the Commercial Director at Alstom Power Systems in Houston, Texas.
“Elliott has a strong legacy of firsts in the development of rotating equipment for oil and gas and industrial applications. I look forward to working with the outstanding R&D team in Elliott’s new, state-of the-art R&D test facility to design equipment advancements and improve product performance and efficiency for our customers around the world,” said Brun.
