Ansaldo Energia reconfigures board, appoints new CEO
The Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting of Ansaldo Energia shareholders was convened on Monday 14 october 2019, in Genoa and appointed the new Board of Directors and the new Board of Auditors for the three-year term period 2019-2021, formed by the following members: Giuseppe Zampini, Giuseppe Marino, Giampietro Castano, Fabiola Mascardi, Simone Bergonzi, Fabio Massoli, Jianhua Yuan, Fufang Wang and Zheng Xiaohong. The General Meeting then went on to appoint Giuseppe Zampini as Chairman.
The new Board of Directors, met October 18 and appointed Giuseppe Marino as the company’s new CEO, granting him the related powers.
The Board then resolved to entrust the Chairman, Giuseppe Zampini - temporarily and jointly with the Chief Executive Officer - with certain proxies concerning the orientation of the Company's strategic areas, including the technological sector and the support for commercial activities, including those relating to the Chinese JVs. This also in order to allow a temporary proxies sharing, with the aim of favoring a more rapid and effective handover to the new CEO.
