Perma-Pipe International Holdings has broadened its global footprint by opening an eco-friendly production facility in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., to cater to the increasing demands of the district cooling and oil and gas sectors in the Middle East and beyond.
Perma-Pipe International Holdings has expanded its operations with a new production facility in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. The facility, representing the company's most significant growth outside of North America, was inaugurated on March 16, 2023. The event was attended by H.E. Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan and representatives from Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, along with the company's President and CEO, David Mansfield, and Chairman, Jerry Walker.
The 6-hectare factory has been established to address the increasing needs of district cooling and oil and gas industries in the Middle East. The facility is equipped with advanced technology and focuses on the production of environmentally friendly products. Among the offerings are fabrication and Fusion Bonded Epoxy coating services, as well as the XTRU-THERM and PolyTherm insulation systems.
Saleh Sagr, Senior Vice President for Perma-Pipe's MENA region, acknowledged the new production site's potential for expanding the company's reach within the Middle East and North Africa. David Mansfield, President, and CEO emphasized that the facility also aims to serve as an export hub for global projects. He expressed hope for an increased demand for clean energy sources like LNG and hydrogen in the future.
Perma-Pipe International Holdings specializes in pre-insulated piping and leak detection systems for various industries, including oil and gas gathering, district heating, and cooling. The company operates at fourteen locations across six countries.
