Sensonics, a supplier of sensing systems for monitoring the dynamics of turbines, pumps, fans, compressors and motors, is expanding its calibration and site support services. All their equipment is designed and manufactured in the UK. The company said it is expanding services after recent investment.
“Return to base calibration services have always been offered for our sensors and systems yet we recognize that flexibility in meeting this best practice is vital to customers. It is not always easy to dismantle and return critical monitoring equipment and that outage planning is complex and variable,” said a press release. “Our expanded on-site calibration services include experienced site engineers backed up by UK manufacturing and specialized engineering resources. Calibration of vibration sensors and proximity probes is a service we offer on-site and this can be extended to confirm the accuracy and alarm functionality of the complete measurement loop.”
Sensors and monitoring equipment require separate calibration. Sensonics provides signal injection methods to confirm the monitoring equipment in-situ and with UKAS traceable calibrations in their laboratory. Fast turnarounds are also available on request along with upgrades and refurbishment services for obsolete equipment.
