Siemens secures first long term service order for industrial gas turbines in China

Article

The SGT-800 gas turbine features high efficiency and low life-cycle costs. It is used for simple cycle power generation, for combined cycle power generation (CCPP) and because of its excellent waste heat recovery potential it is ideal for combined heat and power (CHP). The photo shows the SGT-800 gas turbine with a capacity of 47 megawatts at the Finspong plant in Sweden.

Siemens and Hangzhou Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. (HTC) have secured a long term service program order from Kunshan GCL Blue Sky Distributed Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Golden Concord Power Group Limited (GCL). Siemens and HTC will provide service and maintenance for two Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines located at the Kunshan GCL Blue Sky distributed energy project located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, in China. The LTP covers scheduled & unscheduled maintenance, spare parts, technical support, remote diagnosis, project management and a series of performance guarantees for the gas turbine generator sets. This is Siemens' first industrial gas turbine LTP order in China.

Siemens is providing the Kunshan GCL Blue Sky distributed energy project with two SGT-800 gas turbines and generators; HTC is supplying steam turbines as well as auxiliary systems. The first unit is expected to be put into operation in September 2017.
