PW Power Systems, Inc. (PWPS), a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), recently announced successful commercial operation of three Mobilepac gas turbine generator packages in sub-Saharan Africa. The three Mobilepac units are located in Conakry, Guinea, and are operated by Miami Capital Holding Corporation's subsidiary, K-Energie.
The Mobilepac gas turbine package utilizes the Swiftpac gas turbine package technology. It is said to have environmental compatibility, dual fuel/dual frequency and remote operability.
MKH Engineering installed the equipment with engineering and technical support from PW Power Systems. K-Energie procured the Mobilepac units earlier this year to augment Guinea's power generation capacity. PW Power Systems also has units operating in Togo and Benin to provide energy to the region.
