Energy services company Wood Group recently announced the sale of its US-based aero engine maintenance provider, Wood Group Turbopower LLC to CPR Aerospace, Inc. The business has been reported as discontinuing for several years. The gross assets of the business disposed were $18.7m.
The international group comprises a number of companies that provide expertise to the oil & gas upstream, midstream and downstream sectors and power generation industry. It provides a range of engineering, production support, maintenance management and industrial gas turbine overhaul and repair services to the oil & gas, and power generation industries worldwide.
The group also deals with exchange of complete units and supply replacement power sections and gearbox. Power sections or gearboxes, repaired or overhauled, are tested using slave modules which result in fast turnarounds and reliable operation.
