Wood Group GTS has been awarded a US$11 million, multi-year contract by Empresa de Generacion Electrica de Arequipa, S.A. (EGASA) to supply parts for the two General Electric MS6001B gas turbines at the 71MW Power Plant "Central Termica Pisco", Pisco Province, Peru.
Under the agreement, Wood Group GTS will provide Frame 6B combustion and hot gas path capital parts. The contract will also provide for operational and critical spares along with repair of capital parts. To support this contract Wood Group GTS will use its advanced parts manufacturing programme to supply the major capital parts.
EGASA is the main electric generating company in southern Peru. Adolfo De Cordoba Velez, Chairman of the Board, from EGASA commented, "We awarded this contract to Wood Group GTS as they were able to provide a parts solution aligned to our operational requirements and respected our overall need for a comprehensive solution."
