Wood Group GTS has named its Duncan, S.C. facility as its center of excellence for heavy frame industrial gas turbine fuel nozzle and combustor repairs, including standard and Dry Low NOx (DLN) systems. The decision to consolidate heavy frame activities in Duncan follows an operational review of Wood Group GTS’ Duncan and East Windsor, Conn. service centers.
After the consolidation, the East Windsor facility will focus on repair services for aero, aeroderivative, light industrial and military gas turbine fuel nozzles, accessories and components. The Duncan combustion technology team has created 35 combustion-related patents and has expertise in the manufacture and repair of combustion turbine hardware, including DLN systems.
Consolidation of heavy frame service at this location will enable customers to benefit from the combined service experience of Wood Group GTS, gained through overhaul of over 170 sets of GE Frame 7FA and over 50 sets of GE 7EA fuel nozzles.
