Wood Group GTS has secured a multi-million dollar facility operations, maintenance and long-term gas turbine maintenance contract from Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc (AECI) for the Dell Power Plant in Arkansas recently. The Dell Power Plant is a 580MW natural gas-fired 2 x GE Frame 7FA combined-cycle facility, providing power generation to support the six regional and 51 local electric cooperatives.
Wood Group GTS will be responsible for care and custody of the plant, taking full responsibility for daily operations and routine maintenance, as well as performing all major maintenance services on the gas turbines and balance of plant, including supply of new Frame 7FA hot gas path parts, repairs and field service.
Wood Group GTS will install the proprietary ECOMAX-DLN automated tuning system. ECOMAX technology provides the station with increased output and will greatly enhance the ability to optimize performance of the gas turbines.
