Purchase price not disclosed, Atlas Copco absorbs the Australian manufacturer of wastewater solutions, Sykes Group.
Atlas Copco is acquiring Sykes Group Pty Ltd.—an international manufacturer of dewatering pumps within the mining and wastewater sectors—from Seven Group Holdings. Headquartered in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, Sykes has a roster of 123 global employees and generates annual revenue of approximately 65 MAUD (455 MSEK*).
Sykes Group offers the mining and wastewater management sectors an array of surface dewatering pumps, as well as chopper and cutter technologies for specific pumping applications. In addition to surface-level wastewater technology, Sykes manufactures a portfolio of hydraulic submersible pumps.
“Sykes’ products are well known in the industry as high-quality, heavy-duty products for harsh and demanding environments,” said Andrew Walker, Business Area President of Power Technique. “They manufacture products that complement our current offering well, making it a great fit for us.”
Atlas Copco did not disclose the purchase price of their acquisition of Sykes Group from Seven Group Holdings. The deal is projected to close during the last quarter of 2023.
The acquisition will fold Sykes Group into Atlas Copco’s Power and Flow Division—a subsection of the Power Technique Business Area.
