Voith Turbo announced recently that it has promoted Jim Kosalek to the new position of director of the Turbo Machinery group, which is a part of the Industry Division. The group operates within the oil and gas production and transmission, petrochemical, and power generation fields. Its three product groups include Variable Speed Drives, Voith-BHS Gear, and Electronic Drive Systems. Kosalek's hire is part of a recent expansion across all four of Voith Turbo's divisions - road, rail, marine and industry.

As director, Kosalek will be responsible for organizing sales, application engineering, project management and aftermarket business across the three product groups. He will focus on utilizing the commonalities within the three groups by cross training the sales teams on all products, and using the Variable Speed Drives' service organization to benefit the other two groups. Kosalek has been at Voith Turbo since 1991, most recently serving as the Product Group Manager for Variable Speed Drives.
