New Dresser-Rand gas turbine repair facility at Peterborough, U.K.

Dresser-Rand clients can get their gas and steam turbine repairs performed here

A new 20,000-square foot Dresser-Rand Turbine Technology Services facility in Peterborough provides high quality repairs on industrial gas turbines, similar to the F-class repair facility in Houston, Texas. This is in addition to the service and repairs already provided for the steam turbines and gas compressors manufactured at the facility.

The new center of excellence is said to have a high capacity vacuum heat treating facility, non-destructive testing services, a metallurgical laboratory, and a machine and weld shop. The facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified, and Dresser-Rand clients can get their gas and steam turbine repairs performed here apart from servicing all brands of industrial gas and steam turbine components, including combustion liners, transition pieces, nozzles, shroud blocks and buckets.

The addition of this center of excellence and future F-class component and rotor repair center will provide an important service alternative for European operators. Dresser-Rand is expanding its industrial gas and steam turbine repair capability worldwide and plans are underway to equip other locations in South America and Asia with additional capacity.
