New turbomachinery technology to increase ammonia production

Compressor Controls Corporation recently released Ammonia Solutions, a Prodigy-based turbomachinery control system technology that is expected to maximize machine availability, increase production and reduce energy costs. 

Machine availability can be maximized by providing coordinating response of the antisurge protection, process control and speed governor, claims the company. Ammonia production is said to increase between 0.5 percent and 2 percent with Prodigy’s precise and stable control of critical parameters. Energy costs are expected to go down 1-7 percent by effectively matching consumption with production demands.
