Global Compression Services has opened a new facility in Pennsylvania.
Global Compression Services, a solutions provider and one-stop shop for natural gas compressor equipment parts and services, has opened a new 5,000 sq. ft facility in the heart of the Marcellus Shale in Washington, Pennsylvania. The company already operates from 11 locations servicing shale plays in the U.S.
The machine shop will be capable of repairing any compressor component. A FARO scanning tool will enable high quality repair of Ariel CP valves and a Mazak CNC lathe will perform machining of the valve. Two manual lathes will be capable of turning up to 22-inches in diameter. The facility will stock inventory for nearly all of Global Compression’s product offerings.
The facility’s team will be led by the machine shop foreman, Michael J. Fithian, who has more than 35 years of experience as a machinist with more than 20 years of experience in compressor repair and manufacture of new compressor parts.
